Our Upcoming Events
City Of Oakland Mulitpurpose Senior Centers
Four Senior Centers located throughout Oakland provide many options for active Seniors. With the resources available at our Senior Centers, Oakland residents can maintain their independence and remain in the community.
From 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday, the Centers provide a full range of social, recreational, nutrition and health education activities. Each Center has a computer classroom where seniors can get "on-line", and each serves a low cost hot lunch every weekday. The Centers are supported by elected Advisory Councils, and our knowledgeable staff is available to answer questions about local senior services. The Centers are open to all, with a program focus on the needs of Oakland residents over the age of 55. Payment of the $12 annual membership fee allows seniors to receive discounts on programs and activities.
