Oakland Animal Services
The Oakland Animal Services is no longer connected to the Oakland Police Department: it is now a standalone City department. Web updates to reflect this will be forthcoming.
Oakland Animal Services, directed by Ms. Rebecca Katz, is responsible for the welfare of animals in Oakland. Animal Control Officers enforce local animal ordinances.
