Oakland, CA — On August 30, 2012, at 5:30 A.M., Oakland Police officers were
flagged down by a citizen in the 700 block of 40th Street. The victim reported he
had been robbed of his cell phone and cash. The victim was able to direct officers
to the suspect, who then fled the scene.

persons killed and injured in alcohol involved crashes. Research shows that crashes
involving alcohol drop by an average of 20 percent when well-publicized

Oakland, CA — On August 17, 2012 at 11:30 PM, two armed suspects robbed a family
of their vehicle in the 3800 block of Foothill Boulevard, in Oakland. The family was able
to escape the incident unharmed even though one of the suspects fired his weapon. The
two suspects fled with the vehicle.
