Oakland, CA —Today, Oakland Police Investigators released a photo of the vehicle they believe to be involved in a collision and deadly shooting that occurred in the 5800 block of Market Street on June 12, 2013 at approximately 10:57 PM.
In hopes of hearing from anyone who may have witnessed or may have information about what happened to Aya Nakano the night he was killed, his family has increased the reward money to $100,000.

Oakland, CA — On January 1, 2014 at 8:30 PM, it was reported that a 19-year-old
female was walking in the 200 block of 17th Street when she was approached by a
stranger, who had appeared from between two parked cars.
The suspect grabbed the victim by wrapping both of his arms around her,
threatened that he had a gun, and began dragging her down the sidewalk.

Setting off fireworks and shooting guns pose a great risk for injury and even death
and as such, they have no place in our City.
Today, the City of Oakland will host the 22nd annual Holiday Dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to feed 2,000 seniors and those who are homeless and/or low income. Simultaneously, the final distribution for the 33rd annual Mayor’s Community Toy Drive will take place, wrapping up a successful tradition that brightened the holidays for more than 8,000 children from low-income Oakland families.
