On March 5, 2010, at 2:35 PM, gunshots were reported in the 1000 block of 30th Street. Oakland Police Department Patrol Division Officer Michael Osanna was on routine patrol and heard the gunshots. Officers Melissa Geraci, Jamin Creed, Russell
Mederios, and Delmar Tompkins responded to Cleveland Avenue and Radnor Avenue on a report of
a vandalism that had just occurred. Upon arrival they located several vehicles with their windows
smashed. Officers contacted the owners of some of the victims' vehicles. It was determined that
several auto burglaries had occurred. more »

unbelted drivers and passengers, enforcing California’s seatbelt laws as part of a year-long Click It

The city of Oakland today hosted officials from the White House, the United States Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the United States Transportation Department to highlight community benefits from the stimulus funds, including access to contracting opportunities.
