The Oakland Police Department will be out in force February 28th,March 8th, and April 18th,
saving lives by enforcing the California’s seatbelt laws. The increased effort is part of the on-going Click It or
Ticket campaign. The
On April 21, 2009 the City of Oakland will add an additional intersection to the Red Light Camera Enforcement System (RLCES) in an effort to reduce red-light related accidents. The third intersection to be equipped with the red-light camera system is 82nd Ave and MacArthur Bl.
On March 21, 2009, at 1:08 PM, at 7400 MacArthur Blvd, two Oakland Police
motor officers conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 Buick. At 1:16 PM Oakland dispatch received a
call from a citizen that two officers were down and needed medical attention.
The Oakland Police Department Animal Services Division is proud to introduce Megan
Webb as its new director. Webb accepted the position of Oakland Animal Services (OAS) director on
March 11, 2009.
