Oakland, CA — In the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 24, 2015, the
Oakland Police Department Ceasefire Team and 14 Bay Area law enforcement
agencies served 20 search warrants.
Fourteen warrants were served in Oakland. Other warrants were served in Antioch,
Dublin, Sacramento, San Lorenzo, Stockton, and Tracy. The warrants were issued
for crimes such as double homicide (September 2015), shooting, robbery, and weapons violations. more »
Oakland, CA — On Monday, November 23, 2015, Oakland Police Department
Homicide Investigators announced that an arrest had been made in connection with
the September 29, 2015 murder of muralist Antonio Ramos.
Today, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and has charged Marquise Holloway with murder and multiple counts of robbery. more »

On Monday, November 16, 2015 the City of Oakland opened its winter shelter at the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, 675 23rd Street, Oakland, 94612, (510) 285-7757. The shelter operates 7-days a week until Friday, April 15, 2016. The shelter’s capacity is up to 55 beds for North County homeless singles in adult men and women (no minors). The shelter beds are secured through a voucher system only. Referral agencies should be contacted for information about vouchers. Shelter doors open to clients with vouchers by 6PM each evening and closes by 8AM every morning. more »
