Mosswood Sandboxes to Empowerment Playgroup (at Studio One Arts Center, 365 45th Street): Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30am - 12:30pm - LAST DAY OF PLAYGROUPS FOR THE SEASON IS THURSDAY, JUNE 7. Free for families with children ages 0 to 5. Parent/caregiver attendance required.
Afterschool Program (at Lake Merritt Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave. ): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2:30pm - 6:00pm; Wednesday 12:00pm - 6:00pm

Mosswood Park is nestled on four acres of green between West and North Oakland. The park is host to many events, programs and classes year round, and during the summer months hosts a thriving summer camp program. Our after school programs feature cooking, computer lab and homework help for children 5 to 11 years of age. Mosswood is easily accessible by MacArthur BART, and various lines of AC transit.

Mosswood Recreation Advisory Committee
Meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The Mosswood RAC advocates for the park and its patrons, informs City Staff of current needs and activities, organizes community volunteer events, and more!
Oakland City Council Meetings
Attending and speaking at an Oakland City Council Meeting is a great way to advocate for your local park. Anyone can attend and speak on agenda topics or other topics that Council Members should know about. Here is information, including a schedule, about Oakland City Council Meetings. Mosswood Park is located in District 3, right on the border of District 1.
