This great community resource is nestled in the Montclair District, complete with a duck pond, picnic areas, tennis courts, outdoor basketball court, and modern play equipment. Recent renovations were completed to make the center accessible to community members with physical disabilities. The center offers varied, balanced, and comprehensive recreational programs at a reasonable price for all ages.

SPRING PROGRAM SCHEDULE -
Registration for Spring Classes starts is going on now until classes are full or May 3rd, 2014. Programs start the week of Apri 21st. Below are some highlights of the offerings.
We offer a variety classes for ages 3 up to 14 years of age. Beginner classes are designed to introduce kids to basic moves and techniques. Intermediate and Advanced classes will take students beyond the basics and challenge their physical and mental abilites.
We have partnered with ANTS Tennis to offer youth tennis lessons at Monclair, Dimond, Chabot and Mosswood tennis courts. Please visit www.antstennis for more information.
We offer a variety of sports for pre-school and elementary ages. Soccer, t-ball, basketball, football, track and field are some of the sports we offer throughout the year.
Youth Karate and Adult Karate are offered year-round for all skill levels. Our Master, Jeff Violet is a 5th degree black-belt with many years of experience.
Kids will learn cooking skills, healthy recipes and best of all, get to eat the end results.
Summer classes and Camps start the week of June 23rd, 2014 and go for 8 weeks.
Guppies: ages 3-5
M-F 10 AM-2:00 PM Cost: $85 per week
This mini-camp for pre-schoolers is designed to give your child a great first "camp" experience. Activitiies will focus on fun, motor skills, social skills and getting ready for kindergarten.
Feather Hill: ages 6-8
M-F 7:30 AM-6:00 PM Cost: $180 per week
Kids will have fun with games, sports, art, hikes, cooking and much more. Weekly field trip will explore fun and educational places such as Exploratorium, Oakland Zoo, Angel Island and many other destinations.
Summer Fun: ages 9-11
M-F 7:30 AM-6:00 PM Cost: $180 per week
This camp is designed specially for the older kids with activities, games, arts and hikes that offer more challenge and fun! Weekly trip will stimulate mind and body.
Teen Leadership: ages 12-16
M-F 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Cost: $145 per week
This specially designed program for teens will focus on entering the job market and gaining an understanding of the modern world. Kids can gain community service credit for several local high schools (up to 25 hours per week). Weekly activities will include: resume writing, interview skills, customer service, community projects, working with kids and more.
ZUMBA a latin dance based fitness program that has been sweeping the nation! Bring your kid for free.
Monday Class: 6:30pm - 7:30pm $10 per class

TENNIS COURTS These courts are lighted and open until 10:00pm daily. They are open for public play, but may be reserved if you have a special event. For reservations contact firstname.lastname@example.org
SOFTBALL FIELD The field is used primarily for recreation programs and league play, however there are times open for drop-in use. For ball field reservations contact email@example.com
BUILDING RENTALS The Recreation Center is available for rentals. Weddings, baby showers, birthdays and special events can be be booked. Rentals must be booked at least 30 days in advance. You may pay by check or credit card (no cash please). For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
PICNIC AREAS The west picnic area is available for rental during the Spring and Summer. There are 12 tables and 6 grills for use.
The east picnic area is primarily a first-come, first serve area with 6 tabes.
Table Rentals: Tables are rented in pairs for $15 per hour (2 hour min). Please contact email@example.com
PLAY AREAS There are several play areas that are open for public use. All play areas are wheelchair accessible.
DUCK POND The pond is a mini wild-life sanctuary that is an extension of the Lake Merritt Wildlife Sanctuary. Please do not feed the animals. There is no fishing or catching allowed.
