Located in North Oakland, Golden Gate Recreation Center is close to Pixar Studios, Powell Street shopping center, Bay Street shopping center, and adjacent to the Golden Gate Community Garden. The center is fully equipped with a basketball court, baseball field, picnic sites, and patio area.
GIRL SCOUTS/BROWNIE
This program is designed to help girls develop strong leadership and decision-making skills. Activities include: community outreach project, cultural awareness, exploration of technology and fun badge earning projects.
SENIOR SOUL LINE DANCING
This class is offered to Seniors and meets every Monday. We offer two sessions one in the morning 10am-12noon and afternoon 1:30pm-3:00pm. Description: Come out and join our newest Senior line dance class. Learn the latest line dancing moves. Step in style to Oldies but Goodies Tunes as well as the latest R & B sounds. Don't miss out on the fun!
OPEN ACTIVITY CENTER
This program allows participants to engage in fun, enjoyable and safe leisure activities with peers. Activities include board games, free style dancing, structured playground activities, and dramatic games.
