DeFremery Recreation Center, housed in a historic Victorian style building in the heart of West Oakland, offers many cultural, educational, and recreational programs for youth and teens. Popular
programming includes the African Dance class and Summer Day Camp. Serving as one of the few recreation centers with a swimming pool, deFremery also features tennis courts, basketball courts, softball field, skate park, and a rentable space for meetings and weddings.

Reserving a Recreation Center
Recreation Centers may be reserved 30 days to 11 months in advance of the requested reservation date. If a request is approved for an event within two weeks to 30 days, an administrative service fee will apply. NO reservation requests are accepted less than two weeks in advance.
