The Sports Center is part of the Complex located within the William “Bill” Patterson Park and includes state-ofthe-art Fitness, Aquatic and Dance Centers, as well as Ira Jinkins Recreation Center and Gymnasium, Tennis Courts, Baseball Diamond, and Tot Lot.
The concept for the East Oakland Sports Center (EOSC) originated with a vision from Councilmember Reid to create a recreation complex and destination venue for the city of Oakland residents and visitors that is affordable, accessible and available.
The 25,000 square foot East Oakland Sports Center offers a wide variety of year-round recreation programs emphasizing health, wellness and fitness that are available to all ages.
Phase II facility expansion funding and sponsorship opportunities are available. Interested parties should call the Office of Parks and Recreation at (510) 238-7275.

On FREE FRIDAYS wrist bands will be handed out 1 hour before each session based on a first come first serve basis. You must be present to receive a wrist band/admission. No holding spots for people in line or cutting others. Children under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult at all times!

The 3,600 sq. ft. Fitness Center offers a variety of cardio equipment, free weights, fitness machines, group exercise classes, and personal training services to help you meet your fitness goals. Services include a member orientation to equipment and facility.
