Whaleboat Rowing
Learn the basics of whaleboat rowing in a safe flat-water environment. On the water coaching teaches technique while having fun, challenging yourself, and experiencing the camaraderie of teamwork. Adult rowing Saturday mornings 10:30-12pm. First time is FREE then $30 for a 6-row card ($5/row). Call (510) 238-2196 for info. No Experience Necessary.

Private Group Boating Lessons
Bring your youth group or co-workers down to the lake for an introduction to whaleboat rowing followed by a row on Lake Merritt. Whaleboats hold up to 10 adult or 20 youth rowers.
Lessons are usually an hour and a half and highlight rowing technique, safe loading technique, and personal flotation device (PFD) fittings.
