Kayak 101
Learn the basics of paddling in a safe flat-water environment. Lessons highlight paddle strokes, launching / loading techniques, and personal flotation device (PFD) fittings. Included is a 1-hour guided paddle highlighting Lake Merritt's unique ecology and history. Single and double kayaks available.
Cost: $20
Ages: 9 and up

Private Group Boating Lessons
Bring your youth group or co-workers down to the lake for an introduction to kayaking followed by a paddle on Lake Merritt. Lessons highlight paddle strokes, launching / loading techniques, and personal flotation device (PFD) fittings. Single and double kayaks available.
