1 Year Assessment of the Dog Ordinance Changes
We will be doing park assessments to see how the leashed dogs in parks change has affected the 3 main parks; Dimond, Mosswood and Lakeside park. The ordinance allowed leashed dogs to now travel through the parks as long as they were of good behavior and their owners/caretakers cleaned up after them (poop pick-up!)
The first assessment meeting will be on Wednesday April 28th from 6-7:30pm in Dimond Park. Dogs are welcome but must be on leash. Meet on the Lyman Hill area of the park at 6 pm, up above th fruitvale entrance. We will do a walk through of the park to identify and discuss each area's usage (good/bad- legal /Illegal) and then we will sit at the Sequoia Grove picnic area to discuss improvements, problem solving or changes to the ordinance that arise from our efforts.
Mosswood Park and Lakeside Park Assessments will be scheduled soon- keep your eyes open (and your happy dogs on leash!)
