Housing Policy and Planning
The Housing Policy Section conducts studies, maintains data and statistics, provides information, advocates legislation, creates and ensures compliance with local, state and federal policies and procedures related to affordable housing in Oakland.
City Policies & Plans- includes the City's 5-year Consolidated Plan for Housing & Community Development, (and the annual Action Plans and Performance Reports), and other policies and plans regarding housing and homelessness
Data & Statistics - information about affordable housing in Oakland from the census, HUD, and city-sponsored studies
Special Reports - reports written or commissioned by the City of Oakland
Rent & Income Limits - yearly limits based on the area median income used to determine whether an individual or family is eligible for housing and community development programs. Also includes rent limits for different income levels in affordable housing.
