About Us
We are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the City’s natural aesthetic qualities.
- We maintain all City facilities, including our parks, libraries, fire stations, City Hall and the Municipal Service Center.
- We are responsible for street cleaning, illegal dumping, graffiti abatement, park maintenance, tree and median maintenance, administration of solid waste and recycling contracts and environmental remediation and compliance services.
- We facilitate volunteer participation in community beautification and clean-up activities through Adopt-A-Spot (creeks, parks, drains and blocks) programs and annual events such as Earth Day and Creek to Bay Day.
- We help protect Oakland’s natural resources and the health of our community through waste reduction, energy efficiency, pollution prevention, environmental clean-up and promotion of sustainability.
