Hit and Run
NOTE: On-line Hit-and-Run reports will not receive investigative follow-up unless the complainant can provide additional information leading to the identity and identification of the responsible hit-and-run driver.
"Hit and Run" is defined as an accident where the driver of a motor vehicle does not stop after being involved in a collision with another vehicle, person or property.
Use the on-line reporting option when:
- There are no injuries
- The other vehicle's license plate number is unknown
- The current location of the other vehicle is unknown
- And the driver of the other vehicle is not identifiable
If you need further assistance regarding a non-injury accident, please contact the Traffic Division Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 3 pm at 510-238-3155.
