Officer Involved Shooting Incidents
The Chief of Police and all members of the Oakland Police Department (OPD) regret the death of anyone which resulted from a police incident. It is our hope that our Oakland communities and residents continue to work with us in finding ways to protect the lives of persons and peace officers during interactions in which officers are required to interact with individuals as part of their law enforcement responsibilities.
With that goal in mind, OPD provides preliminary information on such incidents. We will do our best to continue to update the public as we obtain more information.
