Oakland, CA – Operation Cross Country is a national enforcement action that is coordinated through the Innocence Lost National Initiative, which is a partnership between the FBI, local law enforcement partners, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The FBI reports that six juveniles, who were being victimized through prostitution, were rescued throughout the Bay Area during Operation Cross Country.
Oakland, CA – On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, members of the Oakland Police Department, family, and friends will participate in the Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics Northern California. The Torch Run is a year-round fundraising campaign that culminates every June at the Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games. Money raised supplies Special Olympics athletes with clothing, equipment, transportation, and the support needed while they push themselves to accomplish goals they never imagined.
Oakland, CA – The Oakland Police Department would like to make the public aware of a reported sexual assault.
A 13-year-old female reported that on June 6, 2014, at 11:00 AM, she was walking in the 9200 block of Coral Road when a vehicle pulled alongside of her. The occupants forced her into the vehicle at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her.
