On February 20, 2012, at 11:43 p.m., a uniformed Oakland Police Officer
attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop in 2000 block of 62nd avenue on a
vehicle associated to a robbery, which had just occurred in the area.
Oakland, CA — On February 16, 2012 at approximately 10:45 pm, two victims
were approached by two suspects in the 3300 block of Grand avenue, and robbed
at gunpoint. When officers responded, one of the victims advised the officers that
tracking software was installed on his iPad.

Oakland, CA — The Oakland Police Department would like to make the public
aware of a reported attempted sexual assault. A 37-year-old female informed
investigators that on February 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., she was walking in the 2800
block of East 10th Street to her home. The victim said she entered her front door to
the residence, and was approached by a stranger from behind and physically forced
inside at knife point. The victim reported that the suspect forced her down to the
floor where he attempted to sexually assault her while holding her at knife point.
Oakland, CA – Two arrests of protestors were made late yesterday evening during anti-police and
Occupy Oakland activity. A female was arrested for battery on a peace officer and
resisting, delaying, or obstructing arrest and a male protestor was arrested for
attempting to unlawfully intervene. Identities of the arrested were being confirmed
during the booking process at the time of this release.
Oakland, CA – On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Oakland Police arrested Joseph Briones for violating a recently issued Stay Away Order as a result of his violent acts during the January 28th protest in Downtown Oakland.
On February 4, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. a crowd of approximately 50 persons peacefully
assembled at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza. By 8:54 p.m, Oakland Police facilitated a
circuitous march of approximately 100 through the downtown streets of Oakland
between the hours of 8:54 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
