Oakland, CA —Tuesday, May 26, 2015: About 9:00 AM this morning, an Oakland school police officer attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The two people in the car appeared to be a match for armed robbery suspects responsible for over half a dozen armed robberies committed earlier in the morning. The officer pursued the suspects; the suspect vehicle crashed. more »

This new web application was created by the City’s Information Technology Department and uses Esri technology to provide a 24-hour recap of police activity in the City. Oakland, CA — On Monday, May 4, 2015 Oakland Police Department homicide investigators arrested Vicente Prado-Rodriguez, 19, and Cinthia Gabriel-Martinez, 19, for the murder of 38-year-old Basilio Ramirez. The victim and both suspects lived in Oakland. At this time, we are not releasing photos of Prado-Rodriguez and Gabriel-Martinez. Investigators are still identifying additional witnesses. more »
