Oakland, CA – At 3:30 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015, the Oakland Police Department arrested Anthony Sims, 19, for murder in connection with the homicide of Chyemil Pierce, 30, who was shot and killed on Monday, March 9, 2015 in the 2800 block of Chestnut Street. Oakland, CA— On February 13, 2015 at 9:42 AM, two Oakland Police officers assigned to the Patrol Division in the area of 88th Avenue and E Street were flagged down by a woman who reported her adult son was acting erratically nearby and armed with a knife. The woman advised officers that her son had made comments about committing suicide by forcing police officers to shoot him. more »
