The Oakland Police Department will give an update on the Oakland Police SWAT team and the steps that are being taken to become fully operational. We will also discuss the “Board of Inquiry” in regards to the investigation into events of March 21st.

responded to the 3500 block of Fruitvale Avenue to investigate the report of a man down in the
street. The Oakland Police Department is looking for two individuals for questioning
Mixon was responsible for killing four Oakland Police Officers. On March 21st, 2009 at about 6:45 AM, patrol officers from the Oakland Police
Department responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred at 5:40 AM.
The Oakland Police Department, in an effort to help bring everyone home safe for 2009, will
be aggressively enforcing the state’s seat belt and child safety seat laws during a Click It or Ticket mobilization,
taking place May 18-31.
The Oakland Police Department will be out in force February 28th,March 8th, and April 18th,
saving lives by enforcing the California’s seatbelt laws. The increased effort is part of the on-going Click It or
Ticket campaign. The
On April 21, 2009 the City of Oakland will add an additional intersection to the Red Light Camera Enforcement System (RLCES) in an effort to reduce red-light related accidents. The third intersection to be equipped with the red-light camera system is 82nd Ave and MacArthur Bl.
