Oakland, CA — On December 21, 2011, the Oakland Police Department partnered with San Jose’s Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force which includes many partner agencies including the Alameda County Sheriffs, Alameda PD, San Leandro PD, Hayward PD, Berkeley PD, the FBI, and other partner agencies. During the sweep, seven search warrants were served throughout the city. Oakland, CA - On December 23, 2011 at approximately 11:17 pm, the Oakland Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Broadway on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered three male, juvenile victims suffering from gunshot wounds. more »

Oakland, CA — The Oakland Police Department received a report of a female who was walking in the 9000 block of Holly Street on December 26, 2011 at 6:56 a.m., when she was approached by a stranger from behind who grabbed her and physically forced her against a gate. The suspect held the victim at knife point and demanded money. After the victim gave the suspect her money, he sexually assaulted her then ran from the scene. more »

Oakland, CA - On December 16, 2011 at approximately 4:53 pm a bank robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo located at 2220 Mountain Boulevard. Investigators have reason to believe the same individual is responsible for committing another recent bank robbery on December 13, 2011, at the Chase Bank located at 3310 International Boulevard. more »
