On June 16, 2011 at approximately 6:15 AM, a 58 year old female was collecting
recyclables in the 3300 block of E. 17th St. when she was viciously attacked by a
stranger. During the attack she was punched and kicked several times and suffered
injuries including the loss of three of her teeth. A witness called the police and
provided the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle. more »

Oakland, CA – On May 4, 2011, officers responded to the Oak Knoll Market located at 7980 Mountain Blvd to investigate reports of a robbery. According to the victim and witnesses, three armed men entered the store and demanded money. more »
Oakland, CA – The East Bay Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (EBSPCA) and Oakland Animal Services (OAS) - a unit of the Oakland Police Department, collaborated last week to rescue 21 rabbits from an Oakland home. more »
On May 3rd at 4:30 P.M., an Oakland Patrol Officer responded to a report of trespassers inside of an unoccupied home.
Officers on scene recovered two van loads of items believed to be taken from homes in Oakland, Piedmont, Orinda, Berkeley, and Kensington. Recovered items include personal documents, televisions, computers, tools, and jewelry.
Although OPD has been able to return some of the items to victims, many more are still being held. The police have no leads for these items. more »
