On May 3rd at 4:30 P.M., an Oakland Patrol Officer responded to a report of trespassers inside of an unoccupied home.
Officers on scene recovered two van loads of items believed to be taken from homes in Oakland, Piedmont, Orinda, Berkeley, and Kensington. Recovered items include personal documents, televisions, computers, tools, and jewelry.
Although OPD has been able to return some of the items to victims, many more are still being held. The police have no leads for these items. more »

Oakland, CA – On June 20, 2011, at approximately 8:27 P.M., Oakland Police Officer’s were dispatched to 32nd St and Market St. to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers discovered that the crime scene was actually in the 800 block of 32nd Street. They responded there and learned that three male adults and one female adult had been shot. more »
On Tuesday, June 7th, a 28-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her home in the 900 block of Apgar St. After a very diligent investigation, including the release of video taken by the victim, which resulted in tips from the public, the suspect was identified as 47-year-old Oakland resident Dion McDaniel. more »
