Projects
This page contains information pertaining to all of the major projects that my office is working on in North Oakland and citywide. Whether it is revitalizing the City's park land and open space, improving community services, or developing effective economic growth, this list of projects provides you a look at what is happening in North Oakland and throughout the City.
CITY WIDE PROJECTS
Estuary- In November, 2002, 80% of Oakland voters approved Measure DD, which will raise $198 million for open space projects on the waterfront, at Lake Merritt and along our creeks. Councilmember Brunner was a key leader in the campaign for Measure DD and is providing City Council leadership on the development and implementation of the estuary plan.

She has spearheaded major affordable housing efforts including a $40 million bond to fund affordable housing development, the adoption of an Office Linkage fee which requires commercial developers to contribute to Oakland's affordable housing fund, a 5% increase in the amount of redevelopment funds set aside for affordable housing, and the adoption of California's strongest Single Room Occupancy replacement requirement. Councilmember Brunner is also a consistent supporter of reasonable rent controls and eviction protections for tenants.
