The MeetDowntownOAK.com campaign promotes downtown Oakland as a dining, entertainment and cultural destination.
Providing technical advice to Oakland's event planners, our special event staff are knowledgeable about planning an event in Oakland, whether downtown or one of our vibrant neighborhoods.
In addition, we produce Art & Soul, Oakland's premier music and arts festival. Entering its 15th year, this world-class event draws tens of thousands of festival-goers to downtown on a weekend in August. Special entertainment lineups focus on Oakland-grown talent by bringing some of the biggest names in music back to the city where they started. Learn about the stunning architecture and fun history found in downtown Oakland by taking one of eight different free Oakland Walking Tours.
